Zainab Alamin is the VP. Digital Transformation & Sustainability at Microsoft Arabia, where she leads the technology adoption and the sustainability initiatives at a national level. She is also the recipient of the KSA Women Excellence Award 2023 for her contribution to Science and Technology and the woman of the year from the Arabian Business Excellence Award.
Zainab has more than 19 years of experience in technology, management, digital transformation, healthcare, quality, business consultancy, capability building and startups, covering both public and private sectors. She has held senior positions such as CIO and General Manager at Monshaat, VP. of IT at National Medical Care Company and senior consultancy roles in King Fahad Specialist Hospital_Dammam. She is also a member of multiple boards and advisory groups with government and private sector, such as Digital Ambassadors Board, CITC Advisory Group, Saudi Electronic University’s Digital Transformation Advisory Board and the Advisory Board of Cloud Solutions Company.
Zainab is the first female CIO in the public sector and a founding member of the National CIO Club in Saudi Arabia, a platform for CIOs to share best practices and collaborate on digital transformation. She is also a mentor and a speaker at various events and forums, inspiring the next generation of leaders and innovators.
Zainab holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Manitoba, Canada; an MSc in Quality & Safety in Healthcare from the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland and an Executive MSc in Administration, from the University of Alabama-Birmingham, USA. She is a lifelong learner and holder of several certificates, the latest is certificate in Circular Economy & Sustainability Strategies from Cambridge University. She is passionate about empowering people and organizations to achieve more through technology and innovation.
